Town Board Candidate Anna Throne-Holst's August 3rd Fundraiser
What a perfect setting for a political gathering. Surrounded by an Old English Garden, at host Ana Daniels' idyllic
Sagaponack home, 60 East End Democrats and friends gathered to wish council candidate Anna Throne-Holst well, and
raise campaign funds for her promising campaign.
Hopeful that Southampton Democrats can break though this year and elect new faces to the Town Board, the guests
mingled and shared thoughts about matters political and otherwise, as they waited for Anna to address the assembled
well wishers.
Anna easily and comfortably introduced herself and stated why she is running - because it's important that someone
with a fresh approach and new thinking change the business-as-usual approach to town issues. Anna graciously thanked
her sponsors and introduced her running mate, Sandra Dunn, and Trustee candidate, Janet Beck.
Open spaces, affordable housing, equitable reassessments and a more responsive government were the issues highlighted
during Anna's presentation. A receptive audience, nodding their heads in approval throughout the speech, eagerly
asked questions after Anna opened up the forum. With a command of the facts and an air of measured confidence,
Anna answered questions thoughtfully and competently, while providing insight into her approach to governance.
More than satisfied with Anna's performance, the departing friends and contributors wished Anna well, and urged
her to run hard and win this important seat for the betterment of Southampton Town.
